I love this time of the year when everything is bursting into life and it's neither too hot nor too cold. Our walk this morning was in light mist that softened the whole landscape. We (Lady and I) noticed the rape had grown about 6 inches overnight, or so it seemed. We spotted a Yellow Hammer, 2 swans flying, 2 pairs of Canada Geese, and several rabbits. Lovely. Just shared an apple with her in the garden with my afternoon cuppa. 8)
Re: Spring Its a lovely season isn't it. Maybe its just me but there seems to be more bird song this year? They are all going mad now the rain has stopped.
Re: Spring it is you Pippa - all in your head! not really - I'm just a bit jealous - I used to wake up to bird song but since they built the bedford western bypass I wake up to traffic

I saw a weasel and a pair of stoats recently so I think I know why...
Re: Spring Oh thats an awful shame, I know its nature but nature does seem cruel at times . I also love Spring , we live in Cornwall , midway between the coast and Bodmin Moor , the wild primroses are beautiful and we also have lots of very early bluebells out in the woods .We have blackbirds nesting in our garden hedge and squirrels are everywhere
