After getting help from a behaviourist with Ripple's continued mouthing and biting we have this more or less under control. Now, after two weeks of much better behaviour, he has started barking in our faces if we ask him to do something he doesn't want to - mainly going to his crate or moving to another room. We deal with it calmly and quietly but it's very wearing - seems to be the dog equivalent of teenage door slamming that I had to deal with when my girls were younger.

Somehow it seems the nicer I am to Ripple, filled kongs, bones to munch, exciting trips out, the worse he is - not for the first time he has been likened to a spoilt brat.

Sigh - I shall be glad when these teenage years are over .

Snowie is 4.5 years old and sometimes barks at us -- yes, as you say: shouting. He has become very demanding of late -- I have been travelling for work a lot in the last 6 weeks and my husband has admitted to spoiling him as compensation. :( So now, if he wants to go out for a walk and we're not budging, he will bark. Just once, but very loudly. Just last night we were likening him to the daughter of a friend who is demanding and precocious and very irritating. Oh boy, looks like we've made a dog version for ourselves! I know it's back to training training training. Look forward to reading others' comments on how to retrain! (Makes me tired just thinking of retraining...)

I think Sam is either just hitting or at least getting close to teenage spell . He's 23 weeks , is that too soon for teen stuff ... ..

He's pinching stuff, barking at nonsense , pure mad sometimes , 'forgetting ' his manners , I could go on....
