That's labs for you! They worm their way into our hearts, give us a false sense of security and then...! It's a good job they grow up when they're three (years, not months!) - I'm constantly reminding Tuppence about that as she's three in September, but I'm not sure she's listening!

Hi @MaccieD - the biting is still less than it used to be, but it hasn't stopped. The usual triggers are tiredness or over excitement - although now and then he will bite for no clear reason at all!

When he DOES bite, it's very hard and he took quite a chunk out of my friend's hand yesterday :(

But we are working on it and, as I said, it is definitely getting better. I'll just be glad when it stops altogether :)

    Thank you for asking xx

Hugo has been lovely for days but today is awful woke up at 5am as usual but instead of his usual dozy morning has spent the last hour trying to 'eat me' - really hurts too- wondering if he is teething badly today he is 5 months now

Still making progress then @Calbury .The tiredness and over excitement triggers will improve and often come to a complete stop without you realising. The hard biting is of a bit more concern as he now has his adult teeth, not puppy teeth, and they can hurt. Can you identify any common cause that initiates the bite? It just helps to deal with it if you know what the trigger is. You and Nugget will get through it though, you and your family have done so well so far and you're now on the home straight. Xx

I am in the same boat with Duncan - he is now 19 weeks and the biting has decreased dramatically as well as the intensity/how hard he is biting over the past I'd say 3 weeks, but I do think that some days they just wake up in one of those moods and have more energy and excitement than other days and instead of dozy mornings or normal naptimes they want to play play play which includes trying to jump up/nip at you! I had one of those days with Duncan a couple days ago and I was like oh no I thought we were past this! haha but he has been back to his normal self since that day so I think he just had a lot of energy and excitement that day and wanted to play / is teething so maybe his teeth were bothering him

I have heard from a lot of people that around 6-7 months they really stop the biting altogether including the play biting... not sure if that is true and I know each and every dog is completely different... but I have always kept my fingers crossed through crocopup phase that it will allllll stop at that 6 month mark ! :) hope it stops for both of you too!!!!
