My black Lab has just turned 1.
His latest habit is to bite off the lower branches of my trees. The bottom of the trees is looking abit bare!
    How can I stop this?

Is there anything I can spray on the branches to stop him?

My two year old chocolate lab who we've had for about two months does this too. Plus he eats my plants. Not all, but some are his favorite, especially hosta. I had to pull them out cause I read they were toxic. I sprayed some kind of bitters, but it doesn't seem to slow him down. I have to supervise him in the yard and a special treat with the "let's go in and have a treat" will sometimes get him to stop. I know what else to do because once he grabs a branch, he's prancing all around the yard with it. I did buy a long kong stick and he likes that and it gives him something to run around with. But it is frustrating!!!
