I hope all is OK - this exact thing happened with Quinn when she was 15 weeks. Ate quite a few children's socks and threw up 3. She had x-rays and barium and showed no obstruction but lots of gas/air pockets and slightly enlarged colon. It took her a few days to bounce back, but I would contact the vet if not eating and/or lethargic at all just to be sure.

Despite our vigilance with putting away socks after this incident, she somehow threw up more socks a month or so later. We have a strong 'leave it cue' now and though she will grab a sock the second she sees it, doesn't try to run and swallow it. Our vet recommended insurance for labs with a tendency to swallow foreign object

The stretching of his back legs is due to his stomach hurting. I would go to a vet asap!!!

    Hey all

So a few days have passed and he seems to be back at 98%. He is eating properly and ALWAYS hungry all over again. Playful and took him for a few long walks. I am relieved. I still have no clue what this was and the vet at the emergency didn't really help. Her solution was to give him vaccine and stuff pills down his throat.
A few days on boiled chicken and rice and his stool went back to normal. Slowly started back on kibble and his stool returned to be "soft".
I know him eating socks and throwing up multiple times did not help but maybe something with his food? He's been on this food for approximately 6 months with mostly "soft" stool.

I am just happy he's up and running again. It truly destroyed me seeing the trouble maker in such pain.

    Thanks everyone

Really glad that he's so much better now :)

Sometimes too much kibble can cause soft poos, so try reducing the amount gradually and see how that goes. Keep a close eye on his weight though in case he starts dropping too much.

What a relief for you. Glad he's bouncing around again.
