Hi everyone noticed Henry does this a lot if tilly is layed down he will stand so his penis is in her face and of Tilly doesn't retaliate he will bark but then if he does it sometimes and just stands there with it in her face Tilly will bark at run at him is this dominant behaviour Ty in advance
When I've seen dogs do that (females stand the same way) they are either trying to start a play or they are being little SDs. The lying down dog either does play, ignores or chases as if to say, bugger off. They are so much like human siblings sometimes.
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "penis in the face" - your dog is standing over the other one, I assume? i wouldn't worry that somehow your dog is doing this deliberately in terms of putting that specific body part in the other's face. Dogs don't think that way. As Snowshoe says he is just trying to initiate play. Nothing sinister.
I think it's just about attention. Sometimes, Shadow will jump up on the sofa and stand between me and my laptop, if I've been "neglecting" him. It's very hard to ignore a dog that's doing that ... especially when, as you say, his boy bits are right there
I've seen this behavior before in a friends border collie/Lab mix. It seems to roughly translate to "I'm bored and want to play, but you're just laying there, so I'm going to be obnoxious until you get up and play with me"
