Thanks Donna @Newbie Lab Owner . I'm so pleased that you've started to study to develop your skills and knowledge, and extremely flattered if my thread has inspired you - I think Dexter and your own thoughts on learning more was more relevant. I really enjoyed my canine body language course which has complimented the rest of my studies so well. It's amazing how many nuances you pick up watching dogs, which can only be a benefit.

So pleased that you and Dexter are having so much fun training together, but training just for fun. He is a lucky boy to have you.

Perhaps we should start our own training business - there's no lack of demand for good accredited trainers :D

Or, how about some "Mates Rates" training :chuckle::rofl:

Now there's a plan, Rosemary, lol.

Dexter showed off his new talents to about 40 people at our BBQ at the weekend and met our new addition to the family for the first time. We are now very proud grandparents, sorry I'm high jacking your thread now but thought I'd slip that in, can't help myself.
Our son and daughter in law brought their lab round too, they were both amazing and so well behaved. It's the first time Dexter has had the pleasure of such a big gathering in our garden. He's a diamond dog, still has lots of character and will always be affectionately known as Mr Numpty Nuts. He does brilliant bum tucks now too:chuckle:

Oh, wow, Donna - congratulations on the new addition to the family, it's always so lovely to hear of happy events. Also so very done on your training of Dexter that he was so relaxed having so many people around for a BBQ, and he's so young still, and with another dog to add to the stimulation. Temperament is very important, but so is the training and it sounds as if you have the best of both in Mr Numpty Nuts :inlove:

Oh and no problem on re-direction of the thread - it's lovely to hear your exciting news BUT you omitted some important info like boy or girl, weight, name

Fantastic news Rosemary what an achievement. What a great idea you and Donna starting your own business as Accredited Trainers. Your advice will be invaluable to so many members on the forum. Good luck with the rest of the course. xx
