That's an impressive jump for a Lab!

The only good thing about going away is the frantic welcome when you come home. Have a nice holiday.

Beautiful photo :) I'm so envious of you rural members.

And phew, so the emotions are normal? I've just this minute booked ferry tickets for a week-long holiday at the end of the year, and knowing that I'm going to have leave Xena (she won't even be kenneled, my mum will house sit) made me all teary *grumble grumble bloody weddings*

The reunion will be worth it :)

It is hard to leave them though.... We're soon going to Tasmania for a week and the in-laws are looking after Obi at our house. Already kinda feel like I'd rather just stay at home!!!

    Such a wonderful picture!!!!!

gorgeus dog... Just relax, have a nice holidays, and you also have a right to change your routine...

She also will have another environment, another friends, think it about like she is going to summer-camp... You were excited... weren't you...

She will be happy, and... 7 days is just a breeze...

    Happy Holidays...

    Pedrolo.

I am like @SwampDonkey , cannot bear to leave them, I imagine them hearing my car driving away and that makes me weep! I think if they were going to stay in a house with someone they loved, then I would consider it.

When I had the German Pointers years ago, we did go away for a week and drove through France in a coach, everytime a dog was seen, so many in the coach would have a look and then say how much they missed their dog. No-one missed their children!

We recently went on holiday a few weeks ago, Buster stayed in a doggy hotel with a woman who lives in our village, judging by the pictures and videos she posted every day, Buster did not miss us one bit, he looked like he was having the time if his life.
I did miss him like crazy but to see in Facebook everyday made it a lot easier.

Dropped Obi off to stay with 4 other Clumbers (all girls!), some chickens and a couple of cats.

I think he'll be fine. Me, I'm not so sure about. Riley gets dropped off to lab friends this morning :(

Obi has jumped in the pond and frightened the fish already and been for a proper swim in the river so safe to say he's doing ok! Not too noisy overnight so I don't expect he's missing me at all!

Riley was chasing Pedro round the garden as I left so he's probably ok too.

We in the meantime are hoofing through Wales on our way to the ferry!

Yes off to an old coastguard cottage on the beach for a week of rock pooling!
