Last night at training - most of the dogs (smaller than Coco) were allowed off lead for an initial play - they ran round chasing, ran up to Coco, played with him (he's on lead) - all very polite. Then they all went back on lead & Coco was released, just Coco - he was overjoyed, he ran around and played with them all appropriately, settling for a group - Golden Retriever puppy, Setter x, and a bundle of Cavalier x Poodle types. Eventually the trainer says to OH, on the other side of the arena, "call Coco"...I'm thinking OMG this is going to fail....but no, a single "Coco COME" and he immediately left the melee of dogs and ran fast back to OH. This is a first - so proud. I do work hard on recall, but we've never done it with other dogs.
