HELP ME PLEASE......Hollys bed was wet the other day quite damp but when i smelled it there was no urine smell so put it down to damp off her walk that morning

this morning i lifted the mat at the back door and there was a puddle underneath it one of these rubber backed mats so took outside sniffed and nope no pee smell wiped the floor and it wasnt yellow

so what is this ? she was alone from 830 til 4pm yday first time not sure when this mat mess has happened as i havent moved the mat since Saturday when i mopped the floor the wet bed was last week when dylan was still coming home at 1ish

it doesnt smell of anything i am awful confused what it can be any advice ?

p.s. her legs been much better of late shes been on garden excercise only and reduced dry food her weight is reducing and the yumove have kicked in too i think

    thanks as always

Does she have access to drinking water? Could it be slobbered water? Coco slobbers his drinking water a lot, but not as much as dear old Scooby, who was a proper Labrador, did.

Do you leave her with frozen kongs or ice cubes? Sometimes Quinn's bed is damp from her frozen kong/slobber...doesn't really explain the rubber mat though...

Axel is known for drinking lots of water. Walking around for a few minutes and then regurgitating a whole bunch all over my beautiful new rug or new wood floors.

    Still love him dearly

none of the above its so very weird the puddle under the mat was too much to be slobbers ut had no smell at all i am assuming it would be pungent and smell of wee?

i have some bed mats from when my son was toilet training that i will put down at the door 2moro they arent puppy pads so not scented to make them wee on !

hopefully it will be dry and its been a strange occurrence should i leave her with little water im trying to draw thevday out so when the snow and wind and rain comes dylan doesnt have to come home at lunch from school he can just see to her at 3 when he gets home

    how very odd

Does adult dog urine smell? I was surprised to learn that puppy urine has no odour. I was always flummoxed by the "wee or water?" question when she was small.

smells like amonia apparently which is fairly distinctive

'pet urine can fill a house with the smell of ammonia and other strong scents'

holly was spayed before a year and i believe incontinence in a young age can be a side effect of this - but there was absolutely no smell coming from the bed or the mat :/

she hasnt got any infection because she does a big pee and then back indoors so not like shes in pain trying to pee in lots of places

If she's drunk a lot of water and is well hydrated then it probably wouldn't have much of a pee smell (ie it'd be diluted, not concentrated or noticeably coloured).

I am a bit anal about keeping my two hydrated, and their wee doesn't really have a smell, or colour.
