my youngest brother and his wife came to visit yesterday normally when i open the door to visitors i put jasper behind the baby gate, before i had the chance to do this i had opened the door :)..........my brother was very surprised how well behaved jasper was :)
i have been training jasper not to jump up at visitors this as only been with my son, son in law and daughter, so was a bit stressed at how it would go, much to my surprise it went very well,.......unannounced today my brother his wife and there son came to visit, he rang me when they was outside, told me to open the door and leave jasper to greet them wow i am so made up that my little fella as finally twigged that jumping up wont get him any where :) my little fella as started to grow up,.......i am so proud of him .....everything i have worked at seems to be coming together i have a long way to go yet but have started to see the difference in him all round,............some of you already know that he as been on short lead walks over the last 6 weeks, we have let him off his lead twice over the week end for 5 mins each time, today i got him a new recall line to give him a feel of freedom as i am a little stressed over him taking advantage of the 5 mins allowed off lead,..... :)

he is such a gentle little fella :) i love him to bits
going to a dog show on sunday at the guide dog centre, he wont be competing with guide dogs there is a guide dog show and pet dog show, it is just a fun day..... :)
    he will love it :)

went mental today when the window cleaner was in the garden :) i asked the window cleaner if he minds me bringing him out on the lead, all was fine
he would lick everyone all he wants to do is play :)
a big bark if anyone dares to go near my back garden......he just wants to be heard, or protect , that would be funny he would just want a tickle ;D

Great stuff! My main problem is ME! I am way to paranoid that people think she is untrained. I think its because people have asked about when am I going to start training, and the lead pulling is always in public so I got it in my head they think she's like that all the time.

I've heard it said that the amount of time we THINK people are "judging" us as compared to the amount of time they ACTUALLY are is very skewed. It's true in relation to how we look or what we say, or even what we do.

So ignore the paranoia Jade! Go forth and train at the pace you are able to and that works for your pup..... ;)

Jade I am exactly the same.....I worry all the time that we are perceived as misbehaving when I guess really we are just learning and doing our best.....And do you know something,at least we are out there trying....I don't see any other people training their dogs....apart from a 7 month old x breed Pepsi we are the youngest dog I have met......
I am a little bit excited though that I might have started a whistle recall trend ;D i love seeing people's heads whip round when they hear the pip, pip, pip, pip, pip and their hair get messed up as our Dexter gets the wind up speeding past them to come back to me,just a bit delighted with progress so far.....you can't really tell can you! ;)
