Obviously not me!!! Hattie's birthday thread got me thinking....I didn't know exactly when Simba was born, but just before we left on holidays I got the info on Simba's vaccination from his previous vet as I needed it for when he went to the kennel. Didn't have a lot of time to look at it carefully before we left, and hadn't got around to it yet in the busyness of being home, but as I said, I started thinking.... He had a birthday while we were gone!! He turned one year old on July 21st!!! Oops... Okay, so forget the 10 month thing (duh!! Realized I was starting to count the months from when previous owner got him at 8 weeks )....my boy is officially a year old!!! Eep!! No more "puppy" excuse for him!!!
Re: Oops!! Who knew??? A belated Happy Birthday. Think I might have a tea party on Oatsys first birthday, mmm maybe a bit over he top ! X
Re: Oops!! Who knew??? Belated Happy Birthday Simba .....what a big boy your are!Hes still only a youngster Lisa and he's still only new to you .Dex was a month older than we thought when we got his papers through! Absolutely not over the top at all Maggie.....we have a tea party planned already...as my nephew piped up a couple of weeks ago, what kind of cake will dexter have when he is 1.....so a chocolate cake must be made ( for the humans ) and an extra special kong created for the furry one amongst us! X
Re: Oops!! Who knew??? Aw...Happy Belated Birthday from us too! Still need to have a Gotcha Day as well - specially since you missed the official one. Simba can be like the Queen - an Official Birthday and a Real birthday ;D
Re: Oops!! Who knew??? : ha ha....well I have to say I don't tend to go too overboard with the doggie birthday thing, so he'll be lucky to get an extra biscuit.... Oh well, everyday is like a birthday for him anyways....free food, lovingly prepared; treats galore; long naps; and special times with the ones you love....
Re: Oops!! Who knew??? Happy birthday Simba! Does he still feel puppy like? Or has he matured...lol. I think I know what you're going to say...! we'll def be having a small celebration - any excuse )) My neighbour just had a big party for her St. Bernard turning one. Cake and everything! Rosie stole most of it though..... ((((Embarrassed)))
