Harley will very reluctantly go for a wee after breakfast........on a weekend she often sleeps in the living room from 9pm, won't go back outside before bed, then sleeps through until 10/11am and still wants breakfast before going outside! They really do like to worry us!
We have a dog door that goes to the back yard, so our pups can go out any time they need to at home. They will generally go out on their own at bedtime, and then again about the time we get up. At our cabin we have to take them out, and they often start talking to us a little before we are ready to get up.
