We have two cats and it seems Jesse made friends with our older cat snuggles.

Oh look at him not harassing the cat! The cats still make Xena go wild with excitement - play bowing, zoomies, the works

Ooh, black cat, my favourite. They can be very good friends, so nice to see.

Ella does that when she sees my in-laws cat. He's really old and just stays on the couch while Ella enthusiastically bounces around on the floor in front of him

Our other cat is part siamese, they do not get along very well. We made sure the cats have their own space. I think he wants to make friends but she doesn't care for it. He gets excited when she is on the floor but she jumps on the chair and he calms down. lol

He has moments like that, but he has been calm around her lately.

Does your cat have a "safe" area? I think it's really important that cats are able to eat/sleep/toilet without being pestered by the puppy. Two of our three are super nervy, I don't have high hopes for interspecies...anything...from them.

Storm is restricted to the living area, our bedroom at night (we will move her into the living room either tomorrow or Tuesday night) and the back garden we have a baby gate.

Roxy (our cat) has the rest of the house and the front garden (and back when she is not here) but she hasn't been brave enough to get in past the utility room (where the cat flap and her food is)

Im sure she will come have a sniff when curiosity gets the better of her. She has had lots of strokes in the front drive.

Yes, they have a safe area our laundry room where i keep their food and water, plus a pet gate at our pantry door.
They can easy jump it and a cat door to our screened in patio. We used his playpen as divider to give a safe area outside too. Our older cat climbs over the divider and hangs out on the patio chairs. I won't leave Jesse alone with her. He is really good but when she is on the floor he gets excited and i step in and lift her of the floor. He is still such a baby and wants to lay on her.
