is it ok to go anywhere so long as you don't put her down on the floor or sniff other dogs. Anywhere I should avoid? We are delayed a little with jabs as have had to restart. I want a really social puppy so just letting her meet everyone at the mo then I get my worried head on.
You're right. No dogs and keep them off the floor. Take them everywhere you can. Supermarkets, school gates, train stations, anywhere that will expose them to new sounds, smells and experiences.
Cool have been enjoying showing her stuff. Only thing that she has been scared of so far is a duck. Haha
I used to take Harley to pet shops then sit outside the supermarket getting her used to sounds and smells. We also went to the train station a few times as used to pick my daughter up when she was home from uni. As many different places, smells and activity as you can do.
I did let mine meet other dogs that I knew. And down on the ground at places where few other dogs went. I am in a rural area though, and do have access to land, some private, where hardly anybody else went. Also my Aunt's nursing home, they're always cleaning the floor there.

Hi we also had to restart his vaccinations, but we took him with us to the rugby club (inside and on the patio area only) and he met my friends two dogs and my sisters dog as I knew them and knew all their vaccinations were up to date. To this day his best friends are these three dogs and pretty much every member of the rugby club! It is his second home and now at 7 months old he is a confident (sometimes too much) stroppy at times, happy, friendly boy who just loves people and other dogs! Working hard on being calm, but some people at the club really do spoil him - its quite funny seeing a 6ft 3" bloke sitting on the floor playing with my boy like a kid
Take her in the car too! Our neighbours dog hates the car and they always have a lot of hassle trying to get her in. I took Stanley in the car quite a lot as a pup and he loves it, just hops in and settles himself down. Stanley wasn't able to go for walks until he was 15 weeks and I just carried him everywhere and took puppy pads incase he needed to go. Luckily he was a small puppy so didn't weigh very much he loves people and dogs though, sometimes too much!
Seeing things helps too. People in hats, with umbrellas - all sorts of things and traffic you see in the streets and shops you are allowed. Cats which are boring is a good one too - so that they don't get the idea 'cats are for chasing'. Bin day is a good day to walk around with pupster - lots of things too see and process. Have fun! ...
Bailey loves delivery day at the club - lots of noise with the beer barrels being dropped off the lorry and rolled along the ground into the cellar, bottles knocking together, cages being wheeled along....we started with having him in our arms watching it all happening - now he "helps" the delivery guys with the unloading - luckily my team know him well and are always happy to have his help - once everything is off the lorry that is!
I second @JenBainbridge - we took Quinn everywhere in the car from day 1. She loves the car and is fine for long trips and when she was tiny, it helped with potty training because she would cry when she had to go - never had an accident in the car. We also visited as many friends and family as possible with her - lots of people old and young, babies and toddlers, cats, other dogs and new places to explore.
