For several weeks now I have put my two into their crates with their Kongs when I've gone out, but not shut them in. They've then been able to have the run of the kitchen/breakfast room and hall.

This morning I came home to a floor which was beginning to look like a battle scene...

Both dogs were bouncing around, with no sign of cut paws, but then I found the ink cartridge on the doormat. Someone had stolen a couple of cartridges from an old printer which someone had left in the hall for disposal nearly a couple of weeks ago... I wasn't sure whether to be relieved or not as the cartridge was still in its plastic package, although both that and the cartridge had clearly been pierced.

Wispa's bedding had pink splodges too, but then Tuppence sometimes goes into her crate...

... but now I've just noticed this...

So who is the guilty party?

I think they'll both be in their crates tomorrow!

Heheh! I had a similar thing last night. I made a mango and pomegranate salsa for dinner, and there were some small flecks of pomegranate juice on the edge of the work surface. A little while later, Shadow was rolling around on his back asking for a tummy rub, and I noticed some pink splodges on his chest. Ah, caught red-chested! Shadow never counter surfs, so I was a bit surprised, to be honest - especially as there was nothing on the counter worth nicking. Poor lad didn't catch a break :D

Ah ha! The advantage of being a black dog - you can't tell when they get into something pink!

I've now discovered that printer ink comes off fur with make-up wipes! Oddly neither dog has a pink mouth - although opening Tuppence's mouth is a challenge in itself. :(

Funny :) Hope none got on your furniture.

Printer cartridges aren't cheap....guess you'll be taking this out of their pocket money!

They did a pretty good job of dismantling the printer to even get to the cartridges! Lucky that the only damage was to their coat!

    Ooops, crafty pups.
Was just starting to consider leaving Molly in the living room - only for a short time while I'm cleaning another room for instance - without putting her in her playpen. I think I'd better think it out again :p
