    Hello All!
The first 10 days with this pup have passed in a blur of excitement (and worry; I'm surprised my hair hasn't all fallen out!). She is very gorgeous, a total crocopup (love the term), manically full of beans and we're all hopelessly in love with her.

There's also been blood in the poo off and on to worry us silly (of course, on the bank holiday so our vet wasn't open), and back to the vets yesterday for special GI food, antibiotics, gut calmer and probiotics. Despite all this she's been eating like a horse, even getting the probiotic into her was no problem as she'll apparently eat anything (I've found half a label and a bit of woodchip in her poos already eek). Fingers crossed this all settles down soon as my heart's in my mouth every time she poos now!

She's shockingly quick to learn compared to our previous retired racer greyhound, and by the end of her fist day she was compulsively sitting at us all over the garden in an attempt to earn more kibble... and is even walking sweetly up and down the garden a little on her lead.

Another adorable thing is how strongly she dreams- not just paws twitching but eyes, ears and whiskers too, plus often the tongue's out and she makes such funny little noises. I know I'm wittering on now, but if I can't do it here, then where else can I?!

Thanks to everyone who runs the forum- it's a great help for us new parents, and very reassuring to hear tales of older pups growing out of all the puppy habits; my family keep quizzing me about the biting as if she's a mini monster in the making, and I'd be worried if I hadn't been able to read of everyone's Lab experiences here. So, three cheers to you lot!

Thanks- And now my first stupid question: How do I add or upload photos? In the Media Albums section, because I can't see how to start a new one? Image URL from where? Arg! Pride myself on being fairly good with IT but obviously not here!

Hi and welcome from me and my boy Bailey. This is a great forum, I read it every day and it has saved my sanity many a time! If your avatar is our pup she is gorgeous, looking forward to seeing more photo's - if I can work out how to upload photo's anyone can!

Crocopup...oh lord the memories....the scars...the tears....tell your family they do grow out of it, although my 7 month old can still get mouthy when very tired or over excited.

Never worry about wittering on - we all do it! And love reading about other pups too - know what you mean about the dreaming...Bailey still sleep suckles and it melts my heart every single time!

Thanks drjs@5, I'll do that then.
Samantha- sleep suckling, is that what they're doing? Explains the tongue and clicking noises... sweet!
Right, off out to the garden now for the last wee.

Naw she is just the cutest! I desperately wanted a chocolate girl and would have called her Truffle, but alas it was not a chocolate litter.

This forum is a lifesaver. I shudder to think what my first 3 months of puppy ownership would have been like without it.

Omg she is so gorgeous. I'm hoping to get a pup in the next few months and debating between the colours but I'm definitely swayed more to chocolate the last few days and those photos might have swung it for me! Haha.

I'm dreading the crocopup phase, I've been watching YouTube videos tonight on how to stop biting even though I don't have a pup yet (some horrible suggestions so glad I have this forum and ordered the puppy handbook too) - I'm scared my daughter (aged 8) will become scared of it as a friend pup bit her a lot when we stayed a few months ago but I've told her it's inevitable so hopefully it will be ok. Keep us updated with your gorgeous little lady

Aw, what a cute little face! A warm welcome to the forum from us, here in Spain. Well done on working out the photos. It can be a bit confusing to start with, but it's quite easy once you get the hang of it.

As to the sleep suckling, my girl, Willow still does that from time to time, and she's two now! Both of mine eat in their sleep quite regularly. It's obviously an important part of a Lab's life and needs replaying in their dreams :D

Welcome to the forum to you both. She is gorgeous. Harley likes to run in her sleep as well as having her tongue out and making funny noises. It's cute when they do it.

I know! I'm not too bad, having insisted on good behaviour from horses and kids over the years, but thehusband is a complete sucker for her He's already insisted she sleeps in our room on a permanent basis, and feeds her breakfast when we get up at 6am because "he can't look at her hungry little face" Such a soft touch. I hope he's not going to spoil her!
