JulieT, thanks for your comments. I'm ok with blunt, but you would need to be with Wuki to say he has any psichologal or phisical issues. He is a wonderful dog, has a great attitude towards us, other people or animals. He is calm, barely doesn't bark and is learning from day to day. This and dog behaviours that you and all know. That is an assessment to our vet, and until now, Wuki is as dog as any other.

Additionally, he's never more than 4 to 5 hours alone (i eat home from 12:30 to 14), and at least one of the days of the week i try (as possible) to work from home. As for help unfortunately we don't have family to come here and walkers are quite expensive, adding up security issues (leaving keys to other people and access to the house, etc.).

Does dog daycare exist in Portugal? It wouldn't solve your toilet training problem, but it would keep Wuki occupied, even if you only use it once or twice a week. Honestly, 4-5 hours is too long for a pup to be alone. My pup's 5.5 months old and the longest I've left her (in one go) is 3 hours, and that's not even once a week, let alone every day. If I worked then she'd have to go to daycare or have a walker, no ifs or buts about it. Sometimes I have to crate her for 1.5 hours in the morning, and 2 hours in the afternoon, but that's not even everyday.

Try changing when you feed him instead. As soon as you get up at 6 AM give him his food. My wife feeds Sparky at 4:30 when she leaves. By the time I wake up, he's ready to poop. Maybe you can do something similar. Feed him at 6 am. While he eats go get ready for work. Before you leave take him out to do poo. Lunch time, take him out for a quick pee and maybe a poo right away. Then feed him. Play with him. I make Sparky chase me around and the exercise gets his stomach going and he'll end up with a poo. If not, I leave him alone for a few in the crate (i know you don't want to use one), and I come back when he's calmed down and then he's ready to poo. Your puppy is a few weeks ahead of mine and he should be able to hold his bladder/stool much better. Timing and a better routine would probably help.

At puppy school, I watched the trainer take her dog out to go potty. They ran from the building to his potty spot, he did his thing quickly, and they ran back inside. I've been running Sparky to his spot now and almost always goes, except for this one time I let him pause and he peed on the floor!

Sophie: There are some but are domiciliary and very expensive. I'm trying to arrange something with a near friend that has different work hours than me.
