Why does Loki think that every time I am making dinner it's for him? He looks at me expectantly. Oh yeah he's a dog..
When my son is sitting down to eat his dinner Loki jumps up him and barks. I sometimes put his outside but would I be better putting him in his crate?

We've always put Stanley behind his baby gate while we're eating.

At our cottage we haven't been able to so we've had two big brown eyes boring into our soul for some food.

You'd think he was never fed

I like just 'go on a mat' while humans are eating. It's very clear to the dog. Settle down on a mat when humans eat, then you get a nice treat at the end (or to lick the plate in the case of my OH and Charlie :D ).
