Hehe, poor Willow. It's always Willow... Had a lovely training walk, lots of bits and bobs of no real consequence. I was working with Shadow, and Willow was having a bimble, when she came up to me and started scooting, obviously in some distress. I had a look, and there was a clump of some tiny twiggy bits and dirt beneath her bum, so I went to wipe them away, but it didn't move. From the smell, she'd obviously sat in a big blob of pine sap! It was so sticky and there was really nothing I could do as wiping it made no difference whatsoever. I attacked her with a wet tissue when we got back, and all is now well. They don't tell you about this stuff in the books.
Poor Willow Ella managed to get a big blob of sap right in the middle of her head a few weeks ago. It took ages to finally fade and disappear so we renamed her 'sap head' for the duration
Well now Oban and I feel quite lucky as I found a blob of sap on him this morning but not in such an awkward place. It was a bit scary though as at first I thought it was big scab that had popped up out of nowhere.
Probably didn't smell as bad as some of the more unsavoury substances we find stuck on them at times!
Poor Coco had a sticky blob of sap on his furry penile sheath the other week - with pine needles stuck to it! I'm afraid I left him to it..he did manage to clean himself.
