... you're driving down the road and see a man jogging with his two Labs (one pale yellow, one black, just like mine), the Labs having the best time, jumping up at him and he doesn't mind one bit, and your first instinct is to stop the car and tell him you have two just like that at home. Like he cares.
Reminds me of my fall at work just over a month ago, taken to the local hospital. The medic somehow got talking about her dogs, labradors, one was adopted. Mobiles out and photos examined....we must have spent ages chatting!
It breaks the Ice. Although I do draw the line at a nurse asking for training tips whilst she was doing my smear test. Yes it really did happen
Lol something like this happened to me while at the vets yesterday with Axel. He has some weird rash around his eyes. Anyways, I was on one side of the waiting room and there was a lady on the other side with her little lab puppy. We kept just staring at each other's dogs so I figured I might as well go over there and chat about them, and we chatted until Axel was called in
I'm sorry, I'm not understanding any of this. Surely this behaviour is perfectly normal? What else would one talk about?
When I was carted off to hospital in an ambulance, the paramedic showed me photos (on his phone) of his Labs all the way there. The nurse showed my photos of her Labs, in fact we all talked dogs most of the time
When ... your dear little almost 6 month old has charmed everyone in the vicinity and then - LEAPS into the face of the nearest poor soul and gives them a HUGE sloppy unwanted and potentially poisonous kiss ... - as Molly did today !!
I notice each and every dog on walkies when I'm driving. If I've got my girl in the car I'll yell "dog, left side/right side" and we'll both try to figure out the breed. We get exceptionally excited if it's a pug. I've even seen the odd lab trifecta (all three colours) but am not quite mad enough to pull over and chat
.. when you show pictures of your puppy on your phone to anyone you speak to .. when you talk to your puppy like a baby
