My 10 month old lab poops at least 3 times a day, sometimes 4. Is this normal for this age dog? It seems like a lot. We are feeding him a good food and feed him am and pm. Just curious if maybe this is something that goes on as puppy and becomes less as they age. Thanks

My pup is 10 months and usually goes 3 times a day but it used to be way more often. We feed her twice a day - she goes AM, mid day and at night but just lately not every night. She goes more often if she is fed more - like over Thanksgiving when everyone thought she deserved a piece of turkey...

Hi it depends how much my 7 month old has eaten - usually he goes three or four times a day - he has always had two poops in the morning - about 20 mins apart - then again when out walking and sometimes late afternoon, evening again during a walk. If he's not eaten much (he's trying to train us that he needs our food and not kibble - or as the vet put it pushing the boundaries) then the late pm poop is not done (for want of a better phrase!).
