If a dog that was previously reliably house trained starts weeing inside then there is something up. Rule out medical problems, consider the environment (has something upset/distressed him, or changed?) then if not, go back to basics like he was a puppy - rewards for peeing outside, supervison between walks/garden trips. Be mindful that adult males can be reluctant to wee in the garden, so you have to make sure he is going when outside.

Jesse is 5 month he actually was much better then at the vet visit before. He was a hyper little monster that wouldn't listen. We took him to puppy class and I feel it was a waist of money and time, in the end. I didn't want him to do tricks. I bought the puppy book and Total recall and have been working with him, every day for 5 min sessions about 6 times a day. He will sit now and stay and i can't count to 30. We have a long way to go but I love the little monster, when he has a bad day I just remember yes he is 47LBS. now but he is still a baby.

That's good @IreneM - make sure you reward him before he breaks the sit and it will become longer and longer :)

I feel the same. Paid for the puppy training and the last two sessions were agility! Even though he wont even come on command. THought it was a bit ridiculous. Wish i hadn't bothered now as all i want is the basics which i thought they would teach.

We adopted a little yellow lab girl from rescue center. She is 4 month and sweetheart. We support them with dog food and newspapers and a few toys every few months. It is not much but it helps a little. When i saw i couldn't help but to ask hubby if we could adopt her. She is vet checked and has all her shots, the owner didn't want her anymore . I do not understand some people why on god's earth to you spend money on a pup and abandon them. Yes, they can be a handful and our boy is a hooligan sometimes, but then i remember he is still baby. I had to totally excited pups today and he was barking more then usual. Didn't want to sleep in his crate and neither wanted she, so i will give them a break and sleep in the living room with them. We start tomorrow to go back to our routine and sleeping in the crate.

I've always got treats always sometimes i forget and have a pocketful at work. I've tried click and treat with my colleagues they just laugh at me! I've often had other dog walkers say in a really up themselves way I like my dog to do what I say without bribes. I say well thats fine it works for me and my dogs really happy but l have noticed Yours is always on his lead won't he come back? The best one every was when I was playing in a river with Doug he was doing retrieves and i was rewarding. A man came with his dog it jumped in he lectured me for ages about how wrong it is to use treats. I just smiled and he called his dog .....It wouldn't come. He he it ignored him it continued to ignore him so I just called in Doug and left laughing. He might still be there? I am a bad person for laughing. Bad bad. But it always amazes Me when people say this kind of stuff. My dogs are happy the come back who cares what they think

They are not bribes - they are rewards for work well done!

Would those people work for no reward??

Most people don't think of it that way. I think it's almost an ego thing my dog loves me so it will obey. I am a realist I know how to oil the wheels:)
