I just had to come and share this funny story. Archie had his first puppy class today. Our class is held at the home of a trainer who has a pack of dogs of his own and a large fenced yard. On the way in, Archie was sitting on the ground, listening to the other dogs and puppies bark and carry on, and looking at me like he expected salvation from the madness within the fence.

We got in and he proceeded to charm every person there. They were snapping pics of our boy right, left, and centre (With good reason. He's mighty handsome IMO!). He tried to engage in some play, but as the youngest pup there he couldn't keep up with the other two labs in the group. So what did he do? He sidled over to one of the other puppy owners who was sitting on the grass and climbed onto her lap to have a nap! What a guy. It was controlled puppy chaos all around him, and he was snoring away in comfort.

Here's hoping he is a little more perky at our next session. That's a lot of money to spend for my pup to nap!

Bless him - I'm like Angela and would take chilled and snoozing anyday - my boy is still a complete nut job around other dogs, although it is getting better!

His chilled nature is to be loved for sure. Here's hoping it stays with him as he grows!

It was kind of a socialization class for the pups and a establishing-good-routines class for the owners. We have another this weekend. I'm going to be sure he's rested up to see if he might have enough energy to play a little. We'll see!
