Hi, Molly, 8 months, loves swimming. And I love her swimming as it wears her out!
Where do people take dogs swimming? Most of the lakes around here are fishing lakes and I'm never sure if dogs are allowed in. Also we have have a lot of blue / green algae in the lakes at the moment. We live quite near the Thames in Berkshire and it's been suggested to take her to the river but I worry about the under current. And boats. Any ideas? Thanks.

We go to reservoirs - no fishing allowed. They put notices up when there's blue-green algae around and it's easily spotted by the scum.

Oh I wish dogs were allowed in the reservoirs here.. there's a couple of ponds and then there's the sea. I hope you find a great place for Molly, they do love it.

Homer swims in the river Thames at Putney. I do watch the current and never throw his ball out too far. And there's a small pond in Richmond Park where all the dogs go for a swim.
