Im not sure if I should get her checked by the vet , but the last couple of days, 11 week old Corona has just randomly expressed her anal glands. Once on my lap, eww, once I picked her up to bring her upstairs for bedtime, and just today, she was sound asleep and suddenly jumped up and rubbed her bottom on her pillow real quick looking concerned and uncomfortable, then went back to sleep. The tell tale fishy smell and wet spot was very evident all 3 times. I also have noticed that she is drinking more water the last couple days and asking to go out often to pee. She does actually go pee but today I noticed her squat to pee only 30 seconds after actually peeing, but nothing came out. This may be too much information, but after a pee, she sometimes has a milky looking drip in her private hairs. But not always. I'm wondering if she could have a UTI, but it doesn't explain the anal gland issue. She does seem to be licking down below more often than I can remember. Ugh, I wish she could talk, would be so much easier!

Jeanine, take her to the vet ASAP. Certainly her anal glands will need treatment from the vet, and it sounds as though she may have a UTI, but even more important any kind of vaginal discharge should have you running straight to the vet as it could be a possibly life-threatening uterine infection. Get her to the emergency vet as soon as you can; don't wait until tomorrow.

I agree with Karen - you need to go to the vets ASAP. Please do let us know how you get on

Update: Poor Corona has an anal glands infection and her white blood cell count is high in her urine, which could indicate either puppy vaginitis or an actual bladder infection. She is on an antibiotic for 2 weeks that covers both issues and a probiotic to help her sensitive belly with the drugs. She gets a follow up when the mess are done. The vet said she is quite young to have an issue with her anal glands. I hope this isn't something that continues to be an issue. Have you ever heard of this before?

Bless her. I hope the antibiotics help quickly.
I haven't got any experience of this I'm afraid. Hopefully someone will come along soon who can offer some advice.

@laurenxo has had anal glands issues with her dog. There's a thread in the health forum, "god damn anal glands", last post back in August.

Well done getting her to the vet; glad to hear she's on antibiotics and hope she is feeling better soon. My daughter's puppy had a problem with his anal glands when she got him, probably due to the less than optimal kibble he was being fed. He seems fine now. :)

Update. Poor Corona (15 weeks old) has been on a course of antibiotics for 2 weeks with no great change to her anal gland infection. She has also had them infused with antibiotics twice now, the last time was this past Wednesday. The vet has added Progut to try and firm up her stool to help them express more easily and advised that we do a very gradual change to her food. Things have gotten worse instead of better. She has had even looser stool since her last infusion and as of this morning, had a very bloody stool. She was also up numerous times last night to have a bowel movement. Back to the vet. After consultation with a specialist, the vet has now put Corona on a low dose of prednisone, a 10 day course of antibiotics, a special strict diet and is checking her stool for parasites. There has also been mention of surgery from the specialist although my vet said that it's way too premature for the removal of the anal sacs. The good news is, Corona has not had a bowel movement since she started her meds. The vet did mention that I would see an immediate improvement so I am grateful for that. I just hope it's not gonna happen in the middle of the night. We are so discouraged. It has been well over 10 years since we've had a dog and the last lab puppy we had, had to be put down at 11 months because of a rare heart disease that required a pace maker. We were crushed and I said never again. I realized Corona's bottom isn't nearly the same as her heart but it has certainly brought back some heartrenching memories and scared the heck out of me. She has already found a special place in our hearts after only 8 weeks and we were really hoping for a healthy puppy this time around. What are the chances that things could go wrong twice? Again, I know I'm being dramatic, just needed to vent my frustrations. Thanks for listening.

That does sound worthy of a vent; it is so disheartening when you wish for nothing more than to have fun with a healthy pup, and then this happens. Poor Corona, and you! At least it sounds as if there are some treatment options available if you don't continue to see improvement, and fingers crossed this time she's turned a corner and will continue to improve. Good luck!

So sorry to hear this! Poor little Corona - and doubly poor you, it must be disheartening and so hard to see her in trouble. Hopefully the new meds have got to the issue, and she'll start improving (and then turn into the healthy, happy girl you want, and stay that way for the rest of her life!). Please vent here whenever you need to, we understand.
Fingers and paws crossed here in south Wales for you. Let us know how it all goes.
