Been out in the garden today in the cold, cold wind and my nose gets runny. I often wipe my nose on the top of Pongo's head. Does that make me a bad labradormum? He doesn't seem to mind, and it is lovely and warm and soft.....
I've done this! I was walking with someone else and could feel my nose running but didn't have a tissue. I gave Ella a big hug a discreetly nuzzled my nose into her neck for a quick wipe!
Oh love this thread, random thought yesterday was how much I truly madly love my dog, so much I could burst. I'm in Sydney visiting my brand new baby granddaughter. OH sent me a whatsapp to say Mabel was chasing her shadow like a great big puppy and stopped and looked round when it disappeared. So sad I missed that precious moment. What I am not missing is the freezing cold but rather enjoying the beautiful 28 degrees sunshine. Another random thought was how come all the dogs are so well behaved here, no lead pulling in sight. It must be the heat I've decided.
One of my most treasured memories is of Rory at 9 weeks seeing snow for the first time. A flake landed on His nose. His expression was amazing
Ah that explains your Instagram photo. I was going to comment that I had no idea you had English beaches that looked like the Gold Coast but didn't want to seem like a dork. And it turns out it was an Australian beach! Congrats on the new grand baby. They're lovely when they're small and squishy and belong to somebody else
I should like to emphasise that there is no snot involved. Just that condensation-drip that you get at the end of your nose on cold days. I wouldn't actually blow my nose on him, honest. And @Xena Dog Princess , you're right about the ears. But even better, there is a little warm nook just behind his earflap that is exactly the right shape for a cold human nose to snuggle into out of the wind. Love my puppy.
Thank you, Isabel is a little angel if not a very sleepy one , we do have some stunning beaches in Britain just not as large as the Northern Beaches here. My brothers are in New Zealand but I'm not popping over this time, at some point you will see Instagram pictures you recognise.
Never knew life with a Labrador meant walking into the living room and finding a filthy huge stone dumped onto the carpet Oh, and of course, running in with large clumps of muddy grass in his mouth, proud as can be as he rips it to shred on, you guessed it...the living room carpet. Good thing our carpet is already brown!
I spent two hours this morning at a very boring meeting. I entertained myself by plucking hairs from my jersey and leaving them on my colleague's office floor.
