Hi everyone, I'm Steph Jeffries and in pretty sure most of you know my mum - Ann and our wonder dog Kimmy! I use to be in a wheelchair, because of my disability I couldn't physically walk. About the age of 8 the people of where I lived raised money for me to buy our dog- kimmy! That was the start of my life! With him I felt like my life had a purpose. Within the first couple months of having Kim, I started to walk- I didn't have the need to be in a wheelchair anymore. 2007 I can definitely say was mine and his year! The year we showed the world what me and Kim have done, we met a lot of Celebrities and fellow dog lovers and winning lots of awards! As the years go buy mine and his bound grew stronger and stronger, I started college studying Animal Care and was able to under take work experience in some incredible places. Sadly Kim passed away on May 10th this year, suffering from Kidney failure. He's the reason why I live my life today. Always with me never forgotten- Mr. Kimmy Jeffries- 10/5/16 ❤️
Hi Steph, and a warm welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Kimmy, he was obviously more than just a pet to you and your family. Do you have a support dog still?
Hi Steph and welcome. As a child I had a pet Lab called Chester and 48 years later I still have memories of great times he gave me. Pulling me along in a billy cart or sneaking into my bedroom to sleep on my bed to just licking my face when I was sad. Kimmy will be with you for the rest of your life, that's one of the wonderful gifts they bring. I'm glad you had such a wonderful friend.
Welcome and thank you so much for sharing your and Kimmy's story. What a wonderful boy and friend he was to you and I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope you come back here often and share more about Kimmy and what you are doing now.
