Congratulation, how exciting. I keep asking about a brother or sister for Bailey, but get the same answer as @Naya and @Debs :(.

Gotta love the name Teddy :D

We also planned to have our past dogs teach the next generation, but they both passed within 6 months of each other (very sad time of our lives). They both lived long lives, we also left things too late. This is probably the only real reservation I have with getting another puppy so close together, but I know that another puppy will be enriching for us and for Bear.

Haha, so many good names, I always struggle with a name.

Whenever we say "come on Bear", it sounded like we are saying camembert...lol

The only name that's off the list is George. With Bear tipping the scales at 40kg's now, I am worried the introduction might go something like this:eek::D:

How wonderful, I'm excited for you! I wanted to bring home two puppies when we got Jenny, but being not as young as I used to be (72 tomorrow) and two back surgeries with fusions, I decided one was enough for me to handle. Maybe when Jenny is a little older!?!?!?!

With time passing since the initial excitement of the decision, I have to admit I am a bit nervous about the fact that Bear is not yet that perfect adult dog that I know he will become (and at 8 1/2 months who could expect him to be), and I am going to be adding another puppy to the equation.

I did the same thing with our previous dogs (Shadow and Storm where 9 months apart in age), so I know I can do it, but it's been so long since we went through a double puppy household that I have probably forgotten all the hard times that are ahead of me.

    I'm calling it "Pre-puppy jitters":D

Ah, yes, I remember that well. They've not yet hit for the new puppy, but they will :D

Bear is not the perfect adult dog. Willow and Shadow are not the perfect adult dogs, either. It will be a loooong time before they are :D

But I don't think that really matters. I mean, I'm going to be training the puppy separately, walking the puppy separately. If I had to walk a puppy on the lead at the same time as my two from day 1, I think I'd be having a meltdown right now! It'll be fine. It will work out in the wash, as my mum would say :)
