Betsy: Charlie, Chaaarliiiieee, are you awake, Charlie? Charlie: No. are you asleep? by julieandcharlie julieandcharlie, on Flickr
Just keep trying, Betsy! Charlie really wants to play - he's just pretending to be grown up! Wispa does that too, but a bit of bitey face soon wakes her up. I hope I don't get grown up because it can't be much fun just sleeping...
I managed to get a chocolate off the table when mum was showing dad the Christmas decorations downstairs. It was really good, I knew it would be cos mum said she was saving it for later. By the time they came upstairs I was doing my pre-rinse dishwasher job so I don't think they noticed.
a Chocolate? Mum ALWAYS says "dogscan'thavechocolate chocolateispoisonoustodogs" and smugly pops one in her mouth! Did you eat it? What did it taste like? Did you feel ill? Are they making this POISON thing up? Mum is always reminiscing about a past dog called Joe who used to get ALL the coffee creams. What a lucky dog Joe must have been. Was yours a coffee cream? Oh I have so many questions about chocolate I don't know where to begin - Coco
Dad is grumpy today. He says that I kept taking his blanket during the night. It didn't. It was there all the time. Sometimes I don't understand dad.
Annie says... Sit on his head Betsy, I do this to Fred and it works every time.... Mummy says its not lady like, but I don't care
I think our people would enjoy walks a whole lot more if they'd just get down and sniff. I mean they miss it all up there. Any ideas how to get them to just bend down and sniff the pee? Force-free of course! - Coco
Mines always falling over I think she's smelling stuff, not sure really she doesn't swear a bit though. I surpose if it smells that nice it's hard not to swear, maybe it's an expression of her joy?
Well I've heard mum say that too but once I ate a Whole Bunch of powdered chocolate at least that's what they said it was but it didn't taste good. I didn't get sick but I did have a hard time sleeping for 2 whole days! And I had to run run run run run run run and bounce all over and run run run run run. And once I ate some cook-ing chocolate and it was a little better than the powder stuff but not much and then I couldn't sleep again. Those chocolate things weren't really nice. But I have also chewed lots of chocolate wrappers and half a chocolate bar and some other NICE chocolate things and it is SO yummy!!
When Doug went out in the dark he got to a whole box of quality street some one had thrown on the floor his poos were everso colouful and festive after that . I was very jealous Doug always got to the best stuff first
Now, now, don't feel sad - you have to be a bit wary of zoomorphism here - humans are very straightforward creatures, without our much more advanced ways of enjoying the world. They don't know what they are missing. Keep them happy and healthy, with plenty of cuddles, and go alone with them thinking they are training us, and your human will be just fine. Charlie
Everyone, you have to watch out for you mums and dads in case they do "mull-tee-tars-king". Mum said she is doing "mull-tee-tars-king" and it's BRILLIANT! She was making something deelishus smelling in the kitchen, and I was showing her how much I wanted it by making a massive drool puddle, but she only gave me a lousy tuna cookie. Which I love but what she was making smelled even better. Then she left the kitchen to move some piles of their fur into the machine that makes them wet (I find this very strange) and she forgot to push the deelishus stuff all the way to the back of the counter! I reached and reached and reached and eventually I got one of the things! Mum came in to see just as I managed to reach it and I know she was super pleased because she made that funny squawking sound she only makes when I've done something extra amazing! She said I'd got the middle of a "sawltedkaramellandarmondtruffel". I really want another one now, so I have to watch out for some more mull-tee-tars-king. Willow
Willow, how do you reach the counter?? I have tried, but can't reach any delicious smelling things I know the mull-tee-tars-king thing though - usually, mum is putting things into this big machine with lots and lots of yummy bowls in it and then forgets it's open and goes out of the room! That's THE best, I lick and lick quickly, getting lots of delicious tastes and smells. The other good thing that happens around that machine is that if I sit nicely and don't lick, I get treat after treat! I love helping with bowls! Quinn
re The Counter - Rather than reach up to it, I've found if I sit in front of mum when she's preparing food, between her and the counter, then sometimes stuff gets dropped & I get called upon to clean it up - good boy Coco. And my bowl is there too, and sometimes "scraps" get dropped in there, cauliflower leaves, sprout peelings, carrot tops, all manner of delicious vegetables cuttings..I don't get shouted at, but I often hear "Oh Coco, you're SO in the way!" - Coco
