just been doing a bit of surfing ;)
reading the top 10 dog breeds for family's
in at number one is the
    Golden RetrieverGolden Retriever
Not as big as the Lab, the Golden Retriever is a kind, smart, confident, and loyal dog. Neither aggressive nor timid, the Golden Retriever is extremely patient, which is perfect for kids. While it does need a lot of exercise, its love of play makes this an easy thing to achieve.

    at number two is

This is one of the most popular dog breeds, and for good reason-- it is protective, playful, loving, patient, and reliable. The Lab's beauty is only matched by its sweet personality and intelligence. What does this mean for you? It's your perfect family pet

    Re: pet labrador

Sam is not my first Labrador , I knew when I lost my beloved yellow Lab Tess two summers ago , that I wanted another one, not to replace because no dog can replace a lost one, but just because I adore the breed . As Tess was a yellow bitch , I decided upon a black male to be totally different in looks but hopefully the same temperament . Finding a good pup was harder than I had imagined with so many bad breeders out there and I began to despair when bingo , there he was ;D
I wanted a dog who would be good with our grandchildren and other dogs , one who would be biddable and eager to please and I reckon Labs fit all thee bills quite nicely , its not surprising that they are so popular worldwide although I do worry that due to films like Marley and Me , some fall into unsuitable hands :(
