It's official! She's a whimp! There is a small black cat at some cottages we pass daily. It was under a van the other day and Lady stuck her nose where it wasn't wanted and the cat rushed her (no contact as she's actually very fast when she needs to be), arched it's back and snarled and spat at her. Now of course it's a real trial to get her to pass the cottage/van in question. Well there you go. Are many Labs this timid? She seems to have got over her black and white cow thing though so I suppose that's a plus. ;D Just off to Cornwall for a week. Staying in a holiday cottage we rent every year near Stithians. Looks like we will have gale force winds and some rain but we'll take the right clothes and hopefully come back refreshed and fitter - including the Small Black Dog! (Note to self - pack lots of dog towels for the back of the Land Rover.)
Re: Small Black Dog now scared of Small Black Cat She sounds adorable David. She can be timid, coz her dad's there to save her every time. Might be because I've been offline for a few days, but I've not seen any recent pics of Lady...hint.hint. I had a briard that was scared of most things, umbrellas, stairs, metal bowls, spagetti..But he was a rescue dog, so there might have been reason behind some of them. But he never got any braver bless him, just more stooopid, and more loving.
Re: Small Black Dog now scared of Small Black Cat Scared of spaghetti in what form? Intriguing!! Poor Lady getting terrorised by da big mean kitty. My old Lab was scared of our chickens after one of them pecked him on the face. He would have sympathised with Lady.

[/quote] Cooked or uncooked, plain, no sauce. He wouldn't even walk past a bit on the floor. And if one of the other dogs was eating it, he ran out of the room. He was a gorgeous dog.

Re: Small Black Dog now scared of Small Black Cat Dangerous spaghetti!!! That is just too good... ;D David, how is Lady with spaghetti???
Re: Small Black Dog now scared of Small Black Cat Hoping you all have a lovely holiday down here David and watch out for the killer spaghetti ;D
Re: Small Black Dog now scared of Small Black Cat Be particularly careful to avoid that black spaghetti.
