I don't want to go rushing to the vets unnecessarily but Libby is everso quiet! She's still happy on walks but at home she's unnaturally calm and sleeping more than usual. Would you expect a 7.5 month old pup to calm down noticeably? She's refusing to eat her kibble or lick the Kong food (yoghurt and banana she used to love) but is eating anything else I give her such as sardines, turkey etc. She just had a fish and sweet potato dinner but has come and lay down to sleep again. There's nothing else worrying.

I would pop her to the vets just in case. They do calm down a bit from seven months, but refusing food is unusual for a Lab.

Has she had her season? It could be coming on?

It's is usual for them to go off their food and the only time moo did was when she was about this age just before her first season. I would get her checked by the vet just to be sure it's not anything else

Thanks, coming into season could be the answer...I'll keep an eye out for that. Good thinking, thanks.

I would pop her to the vets if she's the same tomorrow. It might be that she's going to come into season, but I always err on the side of caution.
