Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! Best of luck now with it - I reckon a padded crate sounds like a good idea! Rooting for Dex's tail here...
Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! So sorry Angela and you definately are not being a drama queen at all , we all hate it when things go wrong with our beloved dogs, I feel for you and hope all works out for the best , for all of you x
Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! With the crate...ive thought on this.....it's basically just in his room now,he is never confined to it and I'm tempted to remove it but I have been watching him since I got back on Friday and he probably puts himself in it voluntarily 3 or 4 times a day....no pattern to it,sometimes he just feels like going in so would I be mean removing it?also removing the crate just exposes another wall that he can crack himself on .....I really, appreciate you thinking of ways to help us. we met visitors outside today totally coincidentally, they were early and I had taken him across the road to wee....he won't do it on our 'land'.......lots of normal excitement......having a chat in the road, them move up the path to the house......all good, then get into the house and the whirling dervish resurrects, like he has never seen them before .......I know you are all being so kind and thoughtful so please know that it does look better.......the test is when it's unprotected.....DDay Saturday.....I have a churning tummy just thinking about it
Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! Really good that it is healing I'm sure that you feel really anxious about Saturday... But your vet is great and I'm sure it'll all be just fine in the long run. Big hugs from me and Obi!
Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! Today I hope it is 'The End of the End of the Tail Tale ' bet you all do too ;D he's just been checked out,the tip is completely healed and has been for 10 days so we are going naked and doing away with the splint ???......his wag isn't at full thwack due to Thursdays escapade,so it's probably got a bit more recovery time. The end is unusually thin( the problem area is about 3 mm) and now its a bit deformed when you lok really closely :'(....or maybe it always was?you can't believe such a small area can have caused so much trouble....and it's bald and very shiny so the vet says its mostly scar tissue now and it is very brittle.......I feel like I can predict what is to come but I'm staying positive in the hope I am wrong :-\ Lets see, hope all your poochie pies are doing well today xxx
Re: The Never Ending Tail Tale! Poor little man...really glad it's healing well though. It's been such a saga for you. Keep on keeping us updated, though I hope the news is all good from now on.
