Hi I'm Burnsie, owner of Mose, a gorgeous 12 yr old Choccy lab (profile pic). We live with my husband, two teenage sons, 5 cats and a chicken called Betty. Mose enjoys sleeping, eating and walks on the beach. His favorite pastime is emptying the bin if ever his humans are stupid enough not to close the stair gate in the kitchen. He is a the best of companions and he played birthing partner to Persephone the cat when she gave birth in the living room. At the end of the month, Pablo, a little black lab will be joining the household and we are busy puppy proofing and gaining all the knowledge we can to make the change in dynamics as smooth as possible. We have given a lot of thought and sought advice about introducing a pup in my boy's twilight years but it sounds like done correctly it can me a positive experience for all involved. I'd really welcome other members' experiences.
Welcome Burnsie and Mose, he is so gorgeous, from me, Hattie 9 years and our rescue dog Charlie 6 years. There are quite a few members that have introduced pups to older dogs so I am sure you will get some help. I wish you luck with Pablo and Mose x

Hello and welcome to the forum from the three of us, Fred (aged 2), Annie (aged 1) and me. When we brought Annie home for the first time, we let them meet in the garden. I put Annie on the ground and Fred sniff her and fell in love. They have been best of friends ever since.
