So I've inquired about the boarding facility 15 minutes from home. I've used them in the past with my other dogs but it has been so long ago. This isn't the type of facility where they just get walked a couple of times a day, it's doggy heaven. The only time they are in their runs, is when they eat and sleep. The rest of the time, they have free run of the facility, indoor and outdoor. It's set up much like a home with couches and a tv, satellite radio, a kitchen and so on. Outdoors is completely fenced in, very large and set up with agility games. They are supervised every moment by a very experienced staff. They supply everything but the food and in Corona's case, her meds. So, instead of going to her regular daycare, tomorrow she is going to meet new friends and have her first sleep over. I'm super nervous (my god, I'm attached to this dog, despite everything), but I'm also SUPER excited that I will FINALLY be getting a full night of sleep UNINTERRUPTED for the first time in 4 months!! We are also celebrating my son's birthday tomorrow evening and I won't have to worry about how long she's been crated, so that's an added bonus! Maybe the other dogs will teach her to sleep until morning uninterrupted
It sounds brilliant! Yes, you definitely need your sleep. Everything seems so much better after an uninterrupted night. I hope you get an early night and a really long lie-in!
So pleased for you - sounds like an ideal solution - enjoy celebrating your sons birthday tomorrow, with an uninterrupted nights sleep! Corona will be in doggy heaven and then overjoyed to see you the next day - she will be absolutely fine and love the experience!
Haha! I live near the Windsor area in Ontario, Canada. Corona would love to have Pongo as a roommate!
Hope you had a good night. You nay be lucky and get a second night of good sleep as she'll be tired out with all the fun. Sounds like doggy heaven!
