Around 3 months was THE WORST in my opinion. Larks was so mouthy and excitable that it seemed nothing would stop her from biting. We consistently removed all attention (stand up from playing) and said "no bite!". If when I went back to playing she bit again, I would walk into the other room and shut the door with her on the other side for 30 ish seconds. Rinse and repeat. It is very frustrating and painful but it will get better! Around 4.5 months the biting dropped off and now at 6 months I can hardly even remember the last time she bit. Good luck!
When ever Duggan opened his mouth a rope toy went in. We didn't even try to touch him with our hands until the toy went in. He had a soft mouth but regardless, those little razor blades we call teeth are brutal even if they bump you with an open mouth. He learned very quickly not to bite at us, we chsnged the way he was to play with us or there was no playing. He figured it out quickly thst our way was better than no way.
Archie was SO bad. We had cuts and scrapes from those nasty little teeth all over our hands and arms - he even got my OH's nose one time! Like the others have suggested, we removed all attention when he did it and removed ourselves from his presence as well. And we always had a chew of some kind handy to shove in his mouth when we wanted to play. This was much easier for OH and me. My teenaged daughters didn't always deal with this behaviour appropriately so they took more abuse than the rest of us! The good thing is that in a few months, this will be a painful memory of the past, and then, if your pup is anything like Archie, he'll be humping anything he can get his legs around.
