Shes been kicking her heels up all afternoon with her toy boy. Shes spark out with a bit of a pulled muscle. She teased him so much he did a zoomie round the living room, she's such a cheeky little dog

No didn't  I was already up so she didn't too. Weird thing is if I'm up and about she doesn't wake at all. You should hear her snore :D

I got Luna's drops in my eyes by myself! No restraining, no crying (on either of our parts!) and no stress. Just lots of desensitisation, some diversionary tactics and LOTS of Primula squeezy cheese :D

At first I thought it was the dog's thoughts, willing the owner to open her/his mouth and give the dog their food lol

A big fireworks display just went off neat us. Not sure what it was for (Chinese new year maybe?). I usually get a text message from the council in the week before fireworks are due so it's strange that I didn't this time. Luckily Ella doesn't seem to care about fireworks but it makes me worry about other pups in people's backyards at the moment :(

My friends look at me and roll their eyes when I talk about Pongo. I have realised that yes, I am probably obsessed with him. I must be like the new parent who can't talk about anything other than their darling offspring.
If he is in the room I am watching him. If he is not in the room I am wondering where he is.
If he is snoring I am happy. o_O
I have become blind to Labrador hair and mud on the sofa.

So yeah.....they probably have good reason to laugh at me. But I have decided I don't care. :) :) :)

I think I'm even worse! After ten minutes of talking my friend's ear off about Ella, my friend eventually gets a word in and says "so, um, how's Nathan?". Oops, sorry Nathan but it looks like you're suffering from 'second child' syndrome!

I'm totally the same! I talk about Stanley like he's a child!

Genuinely think strangers must think I have a little boy named Stanley.

I'm constantly sending them snapchats as well like look what Stanley has done, look how cute he is! Luckily 2 of my friends have dogs too so we're all as mad as each other.

They definitely brought I was mad when I told them I was doing Stanley a birthday party and they had to come. When they gave me funny looks I reminded them how many of their children's birthday parties I had been too.. they asked what he'd like for presents :D

I thought it might wear off as he grew up. Nope. He is over three years old now and I still witter on about him constantly.
I try to remind myself to talk about my step-kids and grandchildren too. Or my OH. But it takes effort.

Casper ran off for 90mins this morning from the paddock (which has brand new fencing around it) armed with our walkies talkies we wearily trudge out to find him. No luck. I jump in the shower, then jump out when I spot him from the bathroom, back in the paddock. I let OH know, but he is too far away...so I grab some clothes, which turn out to be pajama bottoms and a T-shirt, throw on a coat, and with wet hair race out to the back paddock. On the way out I met (for the first time..) next doors new German au pair. Hurriedly I say Good Morning in German and bizarrely, " How is your rabbit?" She looked a bit bemused but smiled politely..
Casper as usual delighted to see us!

A friend (She's us now ) used to think I was horrible about and too my oh. I used to say well he was on the sofa when I left and I bet he doesn't do the hoover or tea etc. She thought Doug was my husband the penny dropped when i was showing her daughter Doug in his funny hydrotherapy float a ear protectors. She realised why I and my other friend very laughing at lazy Doug. she just burst out laughing and apologised for thinking i was mean to my oh. she realised Doug was an elderly stay at home lab.
