    I would do a small mixture of both for a few days and see how his tummy is. Some pups have sensitive tums, other have no problems.
    If he's ok on the paediatric food, how come you are moving to puppy?

    You could look at the ingredients of both and see how much they differ. I'm very biased as I didn't feed my dogs kibble, but I find the Royal Canin "breed" dog foods to be a silly marketing ploy which puts my hackles up. The ingredients below seem very heavy on cheap carb fillers, which dogs don't need. Maybe if you are going change dog foods anyway you could find one with better ingredients?

    Pediatric:
    COMPOSITION: maize, dehydrated poultry protein, dehydrated pork protein, rice, wheat flour, wheat gluten*, animal fats, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, minerals, soya oil, fish oil, vegetable fibres, fructo-oligo-saccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin).

    "Labrador":
    COMPOSITION: dehydrated poultry protein, rice, wheat, maize, maize gluten, animal fats, vegetable protein isolate*, hydrolysed animal proteins, vegetable fibres, beet pulp, yeasts, fish oil, minerals, soya oil, fructo-oligo-saccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), borage oil (0.1%), green tea extracts (source of polyphenols), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin).

    The paediatric food is only for weaning, and is only suitable for use up to 8 weeks of age.

    My pup came on RC Junior. I don't like the ingredients list, as it's too vague for me, so I've changed her to what I consider to be a better kibble. Do this over a few days, but take the lead from your puppy - some are pretty bullet-proof with their digestion and some are rather more sensitive.

    This is the "Maxi Junior" ingredients list, since, if you stick with RC, is most likely the most appropriate:

    COMPOSITION: rice, dehydrated poultry protein, dehydrated pork protein*, maize flour,
    animal fats, hydrolysed animal proteins, maize gluten, maize, minerals, beet pulp,
    vegetable fibres, vegetable protein isolate*, soya oil, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds,
    fructo-oligo-saccharides, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides),
    hydrolysed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), marigold extract (source of lutein),
    hydrolysed cartilage (source of chondroitin).
