Hi - my pup Beetle is just over 4 months old and I've noticed one of her upper canines is greyish/ black - is this normal and all part of the process of her loosing her puppy teeth? Thanks

Tatze had this, the new tooth was on its way through. The vet suggested leaving it and taking it out during her spay. It lasted a month or two but dropped out a month or so before her spay.

I would check with the vet 'tho.

Bramble had this too. The vet spotted on a check up...I hadn't noticed (bad mum!) it was slightly wonky, I think her adult tooth was coming through but you couldn't see it. We were advised to watch and wait, sometimes they will remove a cracked, broken or grey baby tooth. Eventually it fell out on its own and she now has a lovely full set of pearly whites. :) If I were you, I would just ask the vet to have a quick look, just to check. :)

Archie just lost both of his baby canines. They were grey/black and still right beside the adult canines that had already come in and were quite wiggly. I was about to call the vet to check and see, but then they both fell out. I guess it is quite normal based on the responses, but I'd keep an eye for infection - that is what I was worried about about.
