We don't have police dogs in Andorra, and any car for import has to be three years old or less. Nice thought, though! Dogs are usually transported with either no thought, or in those awful trailers, towed behind the car. They make me shiver!

We bought the Suburban. It is a 2001 but in pretty good condition. Quietest smoothest ride of any car/truck I've ever owned. It also has 2-1/2 ton towing capacity, so I can look at a bigger boat.

o_OErrr - I need to keep an eye on this forum more often!! o_O
But seriously - XC70 - excellent car with loads of room, covers huge miles effortlessly, and not too tall for the dogs to jump in and out of. But if money was no object how about:

Being a commercial, they have a HUGE flat load area - just put a crate in for Luna and let the other two roam around the rest. Two side doors, unquestionable comfort (Apparently) and they also look good IMHO.

OK, I'm a crazy woman. Popped into Padstow to go to the post office and, as I was walking by a car park, saw a woman take one, two, THREE Labradors out of the back of a vehicle. I hurried over to have a look and ask her about her car and the crate system she had in the back. It was a pretty impressive set-up. The vehicle was a Mitsubishi L200 and she had the whole back as a built-in crate, with full-length sliding drawers underneath. The crate can have dividers, but she'd taken them out. She had a leaflet for the manufacturer! Hah! So, I looked them up.

These aren't your average crates, with the cost of what she had being well over £2000! It was pretty smart, though.

    Now, where's that lottery ticket?

I have a similar box but mine is a CAB box with two storage drawers underneath. It can take two Clumbers, two springers and a cocker but it is a bit of a squeeze. But I don't mind that. The less room to move about the safer it is actually for the dogs. The car is a Discovery. The setup looks like this.

You'll definitely need your lottery money for an L200 itch fitted crates and a drawer!

They were definitely country types, and the sort with a penny or two. Sorry, pooches, you've got the lemonade lifestyle with me!
