and I really want to give Bailey and a couple of his doggy pals a bit of a party, complete with birthday cake. But the only recipes I can find contain peanut butter and Bailey HATES peanut butter. He won't go near it - and I can't handle bananas or anything containing them.

Does anybody know of a dog friendly recipe for a cake? Was thinking tuna cake but think a slice of that will be too much even for cast iron tummy Bailey!

Liver cake? Easy and always goes down well with Molly. ( What am I saying? Everything goes down well with Molly.)

Have you seen the "Recipes" board.
    Not all for dogs.
You might get some ideas though :D

I found a few recipes online and combined them - I used grated Apple and carrot instead of peanut butter/banana. It was made with flour and baked like a loaf. Went over well!

You can do pretty much what you like, just leave out the sugar. Apple, carrot, liver, sardines, tuna... anything. Then bind it with eggs and flour (of any variety you fancy) until it's a reasonable consistency, and bake it. You don't need to be precise, our dogs aren't Mary Berry ;)

Very true, Bailey really isn't fussy about what he eats unless its kibble :)
