I haven't been on the forum for a long while and coming on today I am so sorry to read of the passing of Millie and Sams illness. I can't imagine how horrendous that diagnosis must have been especially so close to losing Millie. Im so glad Sam is doing well at the moment and you are enjoying lovely times together x

I'm also quite new here so haven't "met" you yet, but your name came up a lot when I was reading through old threads. I'm so sorry to hear about Sam's diagnosis, it's just not fair what life can throw at us (human and animal). I hope that he has many more good days ahead.

Thanks again , I do appreciate your lovely words . The hardest thing, for me ,is to not become paranoid ! Its very difficult not to watch him like a hawk , not to wrongly translate every little action into a reaction, not to make a mountain out of a molehill and allow him to be normal ! He is a happy dog , and yes, he is poorly with this blasted disease, but we must be relaxed around him , let him be , to enjoy the life we hope he will have for some time before his illness prevails , thanks again x

As it is now six months since we had the diagnosis for our dear Sam , I thought I`d give a little update if that's alright ? Sam is doing so very well , better than we could ever have imagined ! Little has changed since last year , except that he does have a small lesion in his mouth which thankfully doesn't bother him at all . He has a few lesions on his limbs but they haven't worsened since they first appeared . Our Vet is thrilled to bits with him , he is still the same Sam , still loving life , although at times, he isn't quite so enthusiastic about his food as he used to be, but on the whole he is doing brilliantly . We are mindful that the lymphoma could accelerate at any given time , and accelerate with aggression , but we try not to dwell on this , just enjoy each and every single day with our lovely Sam who fills us with joy and hope for some happy times yet to come xx

Thank you , its not easy being brave and positive, but we do it for his sake . Sam is a sensitive soul , and would pick up on our upset , so we cant let the tears out around him , but he is worth every second of worry , our darling boy xxxx
