Lady plays a lot in water at every opportunity. Thinking about the risk of Weil's disease, just wondering if I should have Lady vaccinated.
Re: Leptospirosis I think that would be wise David. You could have a titre test done if she has been vaccinated in the past. She may still be immune.
Re: Leptospirosis I see it's covered in the annual booster injection. I just googled it. I had forgotten the booster covered more than canine distemper. I guess she should be ok on that basis?
Re: Leptospirosis The lepto vaccine doesn't last as long as the others. It's a bacteria rather than a virus and the immune system reacts differently so if you're (I mean Lady of course) at risk get the vaccine, unfortunately it's not available as a single shot more's the pity. Learn the first symptoms as well, to get treatment fast, the earlier treatment (antibiotics initially) is given the better the outlook. Kerryn

Leptospirosis vaccine is available as a single component vaccine i.e. vaccinating only against leptospirosis. At the start of a course for pups it does need two injections, but the booster thereafter if given annually only requires one injection. Hope this helps.
