I'm admitting to being a really bad dog-mum.

I've just discovered a mouldy plug of kibble and soft cheese in the bottom of one of Homers Kongs. He has two which do go through the dishwasher from time to time but now I don't think this one has been washed in a while and I could have been topping it up on top of some left at the bottom, which has gone mouldy.

My poor puppy, no wonder he's felt it half finished.

Moral of the story, pick them up and wash them before refilling!

I wash them ever time with a bottle brush and check them for stuck food but I am nuts . I doubt most people do, I'm the same with food bowls water bowls . I have immunity problems so my paranoia for avoiding problems goes through to dog things. I even shine a torch in to check the khongs, see nuts :D

Feeling so bad now, they are both in the dishwasher and vow to make sure they are clean every time.
