Today is my father's birthday. He passed away. very suddenly, 12 years ago. Unfortunately, he never had the chance to meet my incredible DH, or see me graduate and qualify. Every year we celebrate his birthday by watching his favourite movie and eating his favourite take away - KFC. I posted a video of Harley bringing in the KFC supper about a week or so ago, she has not done it since and today she did it all the way from the gate. She even struggled, determined, up the stairs and brought it all the way to me. To see how her tail ways and how happy she is, makes me very happy on this day of sad memories. My dad loved animals very very much and he would have loved our cats and Harley incredibly. So I share this with you all.

What a good girl. I'm sorry you lost your Dad way too soon. I bet he'd be proud of you and delighted with Harley. :)

What a sweet little dog. I love her wag as she comes up the steps - she looks so proud!

Harley is a gem...that's very sweet (and appropriate) that she's now part of your special tradition to remember your father.

She is very precious. Amazing what you have achieved with her. Clearly she loves what she does!

My condolences to you on your dad. I don't think the passage of time makes missing someone special any easier.

You must have had a lovely Dad and I am sure he would have been delighted with Harley collecting his favourite meal. What a wonderful way to remember him.
