I've read that dogs don't like being stared at, but quite often in the evenings Molly gets up next to me (well half on me) on the sofa and rests her head on my chest staring into my face (almost touching my chin). If I stare back and whisper sweet nothings in her ear she relaxes, but if i try to read or look at iPad she prods me with nose! Not looking for a solution - I know it's attention seeking but I quite like it! But i do think she's funny.
Aw that's really sweet! Odie jumps on my lap and will put his front paws on my chest and stare into my eyes, so I stare back, then he attacks me! With kisses of course it's a little game he loves, and it's not just a few licks its full on attack all over with kisses, holding my face with his front paws, then going up on to my shoulder and licking even more.
Best doggie bed position! My first boy would also stretch out like that, but it was me who used him as a full length body pillow. 60 kilos of doggie happiness!
Our cats hold dominion over the bedrooms (Xena suffers in her crate in the living room, hold a prayer circle for her), and I think they're the perfect size for night time snuggles. Plus they're easy to boot off the bed when you want to stretch out
I'm getting SO frustrated with lead walks only. And so is poor Stanley! This morning I've had to tell three people to get their dogs away because he's had an operation and can't get too excited. Then they look at me as though I'm unreasonable! I don't know how I'd cope if he'd had major surgery. Roll on next Monday!
Got in late (about midnight..) took Benson and Casper upstairs to bed, this is quite a rare occurrence. Well they fidgeted and fussed all night. At 4am, Benson's tummy rumbled so loudly, that Casper started barking at him....so Benson barked back. Poor Benson's tum was still rumbling, (and Casper kept barking every-time blimmin time!) so I took them both downstairs and gave him a Kong in case he was hungry. Of course they ALL had to have kongs. Sigh...I am a bit bushed this morning!
Ahhhhh it finally feels like spring the muddy paw prints all over my floor tells me it's spring as well
OH presented me with some presents this morning with a very proud grin on his face. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY FROM STANLEY I felt so guilty having to tell him it's next week..
Stanleys started really moulting. Must be because it's getting to spring because it's never been this bad before
Ever so upset. I spend time and care making sure Rorys colitis does not flare up. I give him food with no chicken or grains and he's fine. i went shopping and went to an outdoor shop where dogs can go in. They leave water and food down for dogs inside. I know its there so can avoid it. They've moved it outside to were it can't be noticed and Rory grapped some. My peripheral vision Is not good. i went in to ask they didn't know what food it was or what it had in it. They Said it was head office made them do it. I was very angry with their not our problem attitude. Rory has squirty bum and I'm so upset. I'm doing all the usual things to help it settle but i still angry. I hope we don't end up at the vet's
I know this doesn't help Rory today, but I would write to their head office. Leaving water down is great, but I don't think any food should be left at all. Lots of dogs have allergies, plus it could attract vermin. I hope Rory is comfortable soon.
Definitely agree. Water is great. Have biscuits on a counter if you want. But don't leave food on the floor, that's totally inappropriate.
Squidge is very cuddly, but it tends to be her plonking on my lap to play with a toy or have a tummy rub. She's just, for the very first time, jumped up next to me on the sofa and curled up for a snooze. Daaaw!
Emileeeeeeeee @Emily_BabbelHund I've found your pooch! I know it's not fair to show you one who's on the wrong continent but I saw him and thought how unfair it is that you can't find the right rescue in Spain/Germany https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1570103256351867&substory_index=0&id=510575858971284
@Emily_BabbelHund i also thought of you this morning! I was walking Stanley and the biggest Rottie I've ever seen came charging up to us. Tongue hanging out, practically tripping over its own feet. When it got to us it just did a big flop and was like PLEEEEASE LOVE ME! Which of course we did and both gave it a big fuss. It reminded me of what I imagine Brogan would've been like
