Coco sits and drools when I eat my lunch...so he has trained me to give him a dog biscuit, a Markie, when I have my lunch so I don't have to drown in dog drool. Every day. <sigh>

Saba wants the 'frothy' from my cup. He loves the remnants of the steamed milk. He's not bothered about the biscuit, although would never refuse a bit of a digestive, but he really really wants the frothy!

After Brogan had his two TPLO's he wasn't allowed to jump on the bed so I taught him to put his front paws up and then wait for me to lift his butt up... all 32 kg of him. Of course he recovered, but forever after, he preferred to do "paws" to get up on the bed. He'd stand there at bed time with his paws on the duvet, his butt sticking out and the big eyes saying "Mama, I can't POSSIBLY get onto this big old bed all by my adorable little self?" And because he was so darn cute and I'm such a sucker, I would lift him up into bed every single time. Ooof!

The thing I taught him by accident was to freeze and hold a pose every time the camera came out. Which was fabulous for getting just the right shot of him in front of whatever. I could put him in a certain pose and just shoot frames for as long as I wanted. However, when I decided I wanted to start taking video of him, it really backfired: he simply wouldn't move a muscle as long as the camera was on him. I eventually gave up because video of a dog standing in one place and not moving a muscle is a bit...um...weird?! o_O

Holly loves ginger snaps. OH and I get the full pleading eyes & drool treatment when we open a packet.

When Alfie gets fed up of me working and ignoring him he comes up to the desk and puts his paw on my legs and licks my ears until and I give him a cuddle. I know I shouldnt really allow him to do it but its soo cute when he does

Obi rests his chin on my lap when we're eating meals. So I give him some of what I'm eating. Now he uses this manoeuvre to harass guests to put their plates down when they're finished eating (or when he thinks they're finished) so he can lick them. Glad I am not the only one who's 'trained' this!!! :)

When Snowie wants an outing he rests his chin on my leg - like Obi. It's such a lovely feeling cos he really puts a lot of weight on it, feels solid. It just so damned cute. In fact we say to him, Are you doing Cute now?

Impossible to ignore Cute. Must go for an outing. Very well trained human. And he definitely knows exactly how manipulative he is being!

Where to start with this one........
Harley has taken over the front seat in the car no matter who is in it........yesterday I was relegated to the back seat as OH was driving

    image.jpeg

Biscuits......she loves any biscuits, especially ginger nuts! Can't ever have one without her drooling and me giving in...

Bed.......she starts off at the bottom of the bed and works her way up during the night and we actually move to make sure she has room, even if it means we don't have much room,,...

Chair......I have a huge cuddle chair......she has 3/4, I have 1/4 and even move over if she sits staring at me!

I think I am her slave :chuckle:

When she hears the plastic containers she always thinks it is for her. This has lead tonus giving in and she gets a tiny treat, she is then happy.
    Or
Play time she will push and push with her nose and toy in mouth, even though we had finished. And if that does not work she will drop the toy on my lap and grap my hand to try and pull it on the toy. I just give in...

And the list goes on and on....

Urgh, the list in longer than we even know because I KNOW we have reinforced behaviours that we don't even know are a problem because we are so novice. But at the moment we have the bringing/fetching of everything that isnt nailed down. And I can't resist her face so I cuddle or treat her every time. We have definitely encouraged her to play with other dogs at puppy class so she really gets distracted once she has had enough of obedience training and would rather be playing with her friends. And @Emily_BabbelHund we have the same thing. We saw "paws up" on a documentary when we first got Harls so we taught her to do it to ask to get on the bed. She can jump on the bed but obviously gets extra attention when we are picking her up, so she also stands there with her big beautiful eyes. We have asked her to sit at the side of the bed because she would be "paws up" all the time. Last night she has "paws up" and I say 'sit' and she sits on her bum, with her paws still up on the bed. Damn labradors and their thinking brains, how do I argue with that one?
On the bed she is getting big now. This morning she was on for cuddle time at about 5am. So it was DH, myself, 2 large Bengals and Harley. I had a 'space' that I could fit into and that was it. And then Harley snores and so does our oldest Bengal. Thank heavens DH doesn't and I don't.
Food wise we have been super strict. We never allowed our cats any human food and they are so good. I can leave chicken out to defrost the whole day and they won't touch anything, in fact they don't get on counters at all. So far that is a bullet dodged with madame.
