So Rocky has been with us for just over a week now and he is 9 weeks.

Up until Sunday night he would go into his crate no problem (we have put a hot water bottle under his blanket and also cover the crate) and sleep from around 10pm until around 12.30am/1am. He would whine a bit so I would get up and take him out to pee, which he did straight away. Then back into crate and would sleep until around 4am and whine again, I'd take him outside to pee as previously then back into bed to sleep until we get up around 6.45pm.

However, the last couple of nights he has woken up at 11pm, 1am, 4am and again at 6.30am. I take him out each time and he does pee, at times a very small dribble. He gets his last meal of the day with water between 7pm - 7.30pm and that it is.

I'm thinking this is just down to him being a week older, more aware of his surroundings, more alert etc.

He has also learnt how to con my husband already by pretending to pee for a treat !

Any suggestions to help get him back to waking up only once or twice a night ?

    It's different with each pup.

I had Kara who I couldn't treat for doing a wee as she'd keep doing them for the treat! I think Rocky may be doing the same. I would give praise and other rewards to him for weeing but no treats.

I would only ever go to him at night when he's quiet as he may have learned to whine for attention.

    Here's a good article - http://www.thelabradorsite.com/night-waking-how-to-restore-the-peace/
