I was up at school this evening waiting for my kid's disco to finish. There were a couple of parents there with dogs. One dog desperately wanted to go over to the other dog - a little bit of whining, nothing dramatic. The owner kept doing the Caesar Milan kick, you know, where you kick backwards with your outside leg and make contact with the dog's undercarriage. It was quite something to witness in real life. Dominance theory - still alive and well.

Oh no, that's awful. One lady at our dog club kicked her dog in class for not doing as she "commanded". Thankfully she was given a lifetime ban but I dread to think of her poor dog :(

One person I know used to do it all the time so I asked her how long how long she'd been doing it for she Said ages. I Said it's not working is it why don't you stop? You could always try something else? I just can't stand the sly meaness of that horrid kick thing

    Uh-oh, Luna has started moulting.

And so it begins.... tricolor dog hair bunnies under the furniture, in my dinner, on my clothes...

One of my bosses has an old Lab, Breeze, the mother of a pup he had who sadly passed away young. Breeze was given to him by the breeder when her other dogs turned on her. She is elderly and has breast tumours. She has been on IV fluids today, but he is taking her home this weekend, so she can have chocolate buttons and not die alone in a cage at the vets. Very sad for him. She has had a lovely life.

Ella has a strip of slightly more coarse hair down her back. Someone we met today said she must have ridgeback in her breeding o_O:rolleyes::eek:

I'm not worried about what they said but it did make me wonder if she's a little, um, abnormal?

I think this is the best photo I have..

When your dog is run I g around your garden with a pair of your knickers that he snaffled out of the washing and you have to feign disinterest so he doesn't think it's a game :$

I think all labs have that. Pongo certainly does. It depends on the season, sometimes it is more obvious than others.
